Functional, but issues.

For the price, I guess I can't complain. It works well and is very easy to use. However, the clamps that hold the iPod to the mount broke after only a couple months (and very infrequent use) and now I have to use a rubberband to hold the iPod in - tacky, but functional.
Super easy install-Extra parts for most applications.

The product is well-constructed. I was concerned that the cord connections might be cheap and easily broken as in some other comparable mounts, but that is not the case with this one. Also, I used this with my i-phone 16GB 3G, and did not have a problem with it falling out of the mount like another reviewer did. I was doing mostly highway and smooth roads, but I can see how it might be a problem on a bumpy road. A couple of hints: make sure you plug it all the way into the cigarette lighter (it fits snugly) and make sure to plug in all the connections before turning on the sound system (or you will get no sound). First caveat: the FM transmitter didn't provide reliable sound (too much feedback/static at times), especially when going through mountains and covering a lot of miles. Probably would work fine for in-town driving. I didn't want to deal with driving and simultaneously trying find a free station every time I changed zones. Instead, I hooked the phone up to a cassette adapters that allows one to play an auxiliary device through the tape deck. Second caveat: the 360 degree rotation is a little misleading. You can ONLY rotate 360 degrees, nothing in between. In other words, only portrait orientation is possible, not landscape. I was disappointed about that at first, because I was using the iphone to navigate (navigon software) but as it turned out the portrait orientation worked fine for me given the way my car's cockpit is set up.
I like it!

Be sure to read the directions first. This unit is sturdy product and broadcasts to more stations than my old fm unit did. Delivery was prompt.
Love It
